2019 calendar Tohar
Among the premises of the plan are the disappearance of short-term coal-fired power plants and, between 2025 and 2035, nuclear power plants. The plan will set a goal of reducing CO2 emissions by 20% in 2030 compared to 1990, which represents a reduction of 38 basis points compared to the current level. The Government estimates that the energy transition will mobilize investments of more than 200,000 million euros until 2030, with renewables, energy efficiency and electrification as main engines.
Of this amount in investments, around 40-45% will be focused on renewable energies, 30-35% on energy efficiency, 15% will be associated with networks and another 4% on electrification for end uses. The plan estimates that, in the horizon of 2030, 2019 calendar Tohar represent more than 70% of electricity generation, with the aim of reaching 100% in 2050, and with a presence in final consumption above 40% at the end of the next decade. With regard to savings, the effect of energy efficiency can lead to savings of more than 70,000 million euros in imports in the decade, with an increase of 1.9% in GDP. The plan, which plans to mobilize more than 200,000 million euros of investment until 2030, will go through the Council of Ministers next Friday before being sent to Brussels. Spain is, together with Luxembourg, the only countries that have not yet remitted it after the deadline ended on December 31, 2018.
